NBC News President Steve Capus to Speak at RTNDA Awards Dinner
Washington — NBC News president Steve Capus will speak at the RTNDA Awards Dinner in New York on October 12. Capus will accept NBCâ€™s Edward R. Murrow Award for overall excellence. Richard Engel whose coverage of U.S. forces Afghanistan will also speak at the dinner. Murrow winner for news documentary, Linda Ellerbee and Charlie Kaye, executive producer for CBS Radio News will also give remarks at the dinner.

Woelfel is expected to announce RTNDAâ€™s name change to the Radio Television Digital News Association and the associationâ€™s plans for the future.
RTNDA has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow Award recipients demonstrate the excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the electronic news profession.
RTNDA honors outstanding achievements in the coverage of diversity with the RTNDA/UNITY Award. The award is part of the covenant the association has adopted with UNITY: Journalists of Color, to achieve diversity in the newsroom through developing news content and editorial staffs that reflect the changing face of communities.
