Ford: Couric Begins Anchoring Coverage
Katie Couric is back in New York to cover Gerald Ford's funeral. CBS interrupted the Sun Bowl at 3:30pm to cover the beginning of a private ceremony at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in California.
Around 3:45pm, Couric switched gears and updated viewers on the execution of Saddam Hussein with an update from correspondent David Martin at the Pentagon.
ABC also provided live coverage of the California service, with Charles Gibson anchoring.
