Changing Channels in NYC

Time Warner cable in NYC is making room for Fox Business Network, and the change means new assignments for MSNBC and FNC. Multichannel News reports FBN will be on channel 43 when it launches next month. Channel 43 is currently held by MSNBC. Fox News Channel moves down two spots, from 46 to 44.

As for MSNBC, an insider tells TVNewser the network “will be moving to a much better channel position.” What that is, is not yet known. CNBC is on Channel 15, so if the strategy is to pair-up networks from the same company, MSNBC could be in the teens.

>Update: MSNBC will be on Channel 14 on Time Warner Cable in NYC.
