Charlie Gibson Gets on the Bus

Good Morning America had the train, now World News is getting on the bus. Beginning next Thursday Charlie Gibson will take his show on the road anchoring from Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. And he’ll travel, mostly, in the tricked-out ABC News Vote 08 bus. The bus is equipped to do interviews. And it also has an Avid work station to edit the pieces Charlie will file from each city.

The Great American Battleground Bus Tour, as it’s being called, is part of the ABC News/USA Today “50 States in 50 Days” initiative. Here are the stops:

• Orlando, Florida on Thursday, October 2
• Valdosta, Georgia on Friday, October 3
• Dayton, Ohio on Monday, October 6
• Bowling Green, Ohio on Tuesday, October 7
• Kalamazoo, Michigan on Wednesday, October 8
• Racine, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 9
• Davenport, Iowa on Friday, October 10
