Check-in on the Fox Business Ratings

FBN_8-12.jpgNYTimes writer Brian Stelter has gone to Nielsen for an update on how Fox Business Network has been doing in the ratings. The numbers are growing, but…

In June, Fox Business was watched by an average of 21,000 people during the hours Fox deems its “business day”: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. In prime time — between the hours of 8 and 11 p.m. — Fox Business averaged 29,000 viewers.

Nielsen said Fox had nearly doubled its prime time ratings compared to the same month in 2008, when it averaged 17,000 viewers. Comparisons of its “business day” were not possible because the channel’s ratings were too low to be reportable in June 2008.

As we’ve reported, FBN has recently been in talks with Don Imus for their morning programming, which could provide a new bump.
