Chuck Todd Penning Another Obama Book
The Observer reports NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd has sold a book proposal to about the first few years of the Barack Obama presidency.
Todd’s agent says the new book will be a “nuanced analytical narrative” focusing on the political relationship between Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The book would likely come out in the months before the 2012 election.
Todd’s “How Barack Obama Won: A State-by-State Guide to the Historic 2008 Presidential Election,” co-written with NBC’s director of elections Sheldon Gawaiser came out in January.
> Update: ABC News’ White House correspondent Jake Tapper weighed in on Todd’s new book on today’s Menu podcast. “Anything I learn I’m going to share with the readers of my blog and the viewers of ABC News as soon as I can share them, I’m not saving anything for a book, so I don’t know how that works,” he said. “It’s complicated to have a day job reporting for a media organization and also be working on a book that’s not going to be coming out for years…Chuck is a really smart guy, I’m sure he’ll figure out a way to do this, but for me that would seem a very, very difficult task.”
