CNBC Gets Into The Game Show Biz

fastmoney.jpg The CNBC studios were buzzing this past weekend as the net taped several episodes of the Fast Money MBA Challenge. CNBC calls it their “first original game show.” It pits MBA students from schools including MIT, Yale, UCLA and Texas against each other in a college bowl-style setting.

Fast Money host Dylan Ratigan plays the part of Alex Trebek. He co-created the series with CNBC wunderkind Susan Krakower. Says Krakower: “CNBC’s viewing audience receives their own financial education while getting an inside look at the next generation of Wall Street wizards.”

The winning team takes home $200,000. The show will air Wednesday nights in August, with the finale airing live August 22nd.
