Because of the news today that the government is taking over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, CNBC will simulcast live programming from CNBC Asia beginning at 8pmET. Steve Liesman, CNBC’s senior economics reporter, will contribute reporting from this morning’s news conference in Washington, DC. Insiders tell TVNewser CNBC will stay live for half an hour or longer depending on Asian market reaction.
