CNN Errs In Identifying College Republican
The Los Angeles Times’ Andrew Malcolm writes about a CNN American Morning segment yesterday in which a student was misidentified as representing the College Republicans at USC.
“We try to get people out to our College Republican meetings, but we can’t seem to get the same amount of support,” said Eric Pearlmutter in the segment.
However the president of the College Republicans says Pearlmutter never attended any meetings and is not on the membership roster.
A CNN spokesperson emailed the LAT: “While he attends USC and says that he is a registered Republican, he was inadvertently identified on-screen as a member of the USC College Republicans organization.”
CNN wasn’t the only network with an on-air flub yesterday. Click continued for a graphic misspelling caught by a TVNewser tipster…
