Both CNN and MSNBC declared their respective interviews with Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich “exclusive” Wednesday night.
The interviews with Sokolich, one of the political officials at the center of Chris Christie bridge scandal, aired three hours apart: he was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN during the 5pmET hour and by Chris Hayes on MSNBC during the 8pmET hour. Blitzer’s interview was labeled as “exclusive” in the lower-third banners and Hayes’ was labeled as the same on the top right of the screen.
MSNBC went on to tout Hayes’ interview throughout primetime. On her program, Rachel Maddow praised Hayes for the get, calling it “a blockbuster interview.”
Sokolich was also on CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” last night.
