CNN Really Wants iReport.com

ireport.jpgCNN has put a focus on it’s iReports, and now they have an easier way of getting viewers to use the iReport feature. But it certainly came at a hefty price.

Michael Learmonth writes on Silicon Alley Insider that CNN paid $750,000 to Rick Schwartz to buy the web urls ireport.com and i-report.com. Schwartz told SAI that he bought the domains for about “$75 or $100″ in 1997.

If the deal had been made three weeks ago, it would have made Domain Name Journal’s top 12 biggest domain transfers of 2007.

SAI also brings up the point that, if you’re Fox News (or would like to possibly make some big bucks), you may want to snatch up Ureport.com, which is still available.
