CNN Wins Ratings During Swearing-in and Sunday Primetime

While Monday’s events were ceremonial, the official swearing-in of Pres. Obama and Vice President Biden occurred Sunday. And during the swearing-in, early hours of coverage, and primetime, CNN came in first in both total viewers and younger viewers.

  • 11am-Noon

CNN – 941,000 total viewers / 276,000 A25-54
FNC – 787,000 / 143,000
MS – 435,000 / 170,000

In the demo, between 11am-2pm CNN nearly beat the combined average of MSNBC and FNC.

CNN – 982,000 total viewers / 287,000 A25-54
FNC – 717,000  / 135,000
MSNBC – 425,000 / 153,000

CNN also took primetime:

CNN – 761,000 total viewers / 171,000 A25-54
FNC – 630,000  / 94,000
MSNBC – 245,000  / 115,000
