HOT and Turner Group, owner of the CNN channel, signed an agreement according to which CNN channel will be broadcast by HOT again. The channel will be reinstated on June 1st.

CNN returns to HOT after negotiations that took place between HOT CEO Herzl Ozer and Turner VP and Managing Director of the Middle-East Region Ron Ciccone, and resulted in commercial understandings.

CNN is expected to make its return with a new evening schedule on September, and will include programs hosted by the network's top presenters, such as Richard Quest, Fionnuala Sweeney and Becky Anderson. The highlight of the new schedule is the launch of Christiane Amanpour's first ever nightly interview show.

HOT CEO Herzl Ozer noted: "I consider bringing CNN back to HOT's broadcasting platform of great importance, and I am pleased with the understandings we've reached with the Turner Group. CNN will join the variety of international news channels that we offer."

Turner Vice President and the Managing Director of the Middle-East Region Ron Ciccone: "We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with HOT for the past 17 years and we're pleased that CNN is once again available to its subscribers. This agreement will be the foundation for increased future cooperation between HOT and Turner. At a time when awareness and understanding of the global economic and news environment has never been so critical, we look forward to providing Israel's citizens with the international perspective that the big stories of the day demand."
