King: "Let's Not Just Sit in Washington and Be Self-Important"
"It's hard, after 18 weeks, to be certain of anything," says King of State of the Union. "We can't make any conclusions now. At the moment, we're feeling happy and encouraged." King talked about the benefit of having a four-hour block for his program. "I bet [Bob] Schieffer would give me a million dollars for one of my hours," he said. He also stressed the importance of covering stories, and reporting from, outside the beltway. "Let's not just sit in Washington and be self-important," he said of the show. • Earlier: David Bohrman: "I Think John's Program Will Come to Dominate Sunday Talk" Email This Post |
