CNN’s Kyra Phillips Reports Live from Deck of Relief Rig in Gulf

CNN anchor Kyra Phillips reported live this afternoon from aboard one of the rigs constructing a relief well — 50 miles into the Gulf — with the Discoverer Enterprise in the background. After experiencing technical difficulties, Phillips interviewed Admiral Thad Allen atop the rig for an update on the progress. Though the CNN crew experienced further issues keeping the feed up due to a storm, it’s expected that she will be appearing again shortly.
