CNN’s Richard Quest Arrested on Drug Charges

Breaking: The New York Times’ Anemona Hartocollis reports that CNN International reporter Richard Quest was arrested early this morning on a misdemeanor charge of drug possession.

Quest was arrested at about 3:40amET in Central Park for violating the park curfew. As he was being escorted out, he reportedly told police, “I have meth in my pocket,” which the police found after searching him.

He is being arraigned today.

Quest is a correspondent for CNN International specializing in travel reporting. He also hosts “CNN Business Traveler” and “Quest” for the network.
