“The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” is kicking off 2012 with a new look. The updated graphics — a new logo and open — debuted yesterday afternoon and give the program “a more modern look, more depth and a 3-D feel,” a CNN spokesperson says.

CNN will also unveil an updated Election Center studio during coverage of the Iowa caucus tonight. New features will include a real-time display of social media feeds, as well as new, in-depth features on the famous Magic Wall.
