Comedy Central Clears the Field for 'Onion SportsDome' Launch
On January 11, 2011 (that’s 01/11/11) Comedy Central will launch its own version of ESPN: “The Onion SportsDome.”
The network clearly has high hopes for the program, and not just because of its “Onion” pedigree. The new show will launch after the season premiere of one of the channel’s most successful programs. “Tosh.0.
The network is even working with The Onion to create a dedicated faux-sports news website at OnionSportsNetwork.com, which will feature clips from the show, as well as from The Onion.
