Comedy Central Taking ‘The Daily Show’ to DC for Midterms

dailyshow_logo081610.jpgComedy Central is taking “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to Washington DC, leading up to the 2010 midterm elections.

The special week of shows, which it is calling “When Grizzlies Attack: The Daily Show Midterm Teapartyganza” will tape from Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Sidney Harman Hall October 25-28.

Stewart and his motley crew of correspondents will “feature news and analysis on heated races across the country,” the network says.

This will be the eighth time the fake news program has left its New York studios and gone on the road. The show was last on the road in 2008, when it taped shows from the Democratic and Republican national conventions.

It last taped in Washington DC in 2002, for midterm election coverage.

So, which DC-based TV news reporters will make an appearance during the week? David Gregory? Bob Scheiffer? Jake Tapper?

Put your guesses in the comments.
