Confirmed: John Reiss To Nightly News EP

This is official now, too: “John Reiss has been promoted to executive producer of “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,”" a press release says. “The appointment is effective immediately. Reiss has been the senior broadcast producer of “Nightly News” since January 2002.”

Brian Williams says: “John has been battle-tested in the newsroom and control room, and has proven to me and to our colleagues here at “Nightly News” that he is extremely deserving of this promotion.” Williams continued, “John brings fairness, thoroughness and a critical eye to the program, which represents the largest single daily source of news in America. I am so pleased to have him lead this broadcast.”
