Confirmed: Woodruff In Iran Next Week

As TVNewser first reported yesterday, co-anchor Bob Woodruff will be in Tehran, Iran for the relaunch of World News Tonight on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

“Iran is one of the Bush Administration’s biggest foreign policy challenges but it is a society and culture Americans know little about,” ABC’s press release says. “Woodruff will report on new President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s plans for Iran, talk with senior government officials about the country’s nuclear weapons program, and shed light on the way Iranians live and their attitudes toward America. He last reported from Iran in February 2005.”
