Couric Checks in From Afghanistan
CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric has been blogging, updating her Facebook page and tweeting from her Middle East trip this week.
Her blog post today begins: “Today I rode in a black hawk helicopter over the poppy fields in southern Afghanistan with Brigadier General John Nicholson, Secretary Robert Gates and a few other folks.”
In the picture below, you can see Couric filming a video with her Flip Cam — she says these videos are headed to YouTube once she returns to New York:
