Couric Scored Michael J. Fox Sit-down

Katie Couric scored a big scoop on Thursday night: An exclusive interview with Michael J. Fox. The interview ran for almost four minutes. He “responded to conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh’s criticism of his appearance in a campaign ad, saying he wasn’t acting or off his medication,” CBSNews.com notes.

One e-mailer said the interview was “hard-hitting, long-form, and relevant. World News and Nightly just couldn’t have pulled off that kind of interview on their more traditional newscasts.” But another e-mailer disagreed: “While I don’t have much of a problem with the interview, I can’t help but to think this is something that would be better aired on the Early Show…”
