Darius Rucker Would Love To Fill In For Dan Patrick

The next time Dan Patrick is on vacation, he might want to give country star Darius Rucker a call.

The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman said he’s willing to fill in for Patrick on his nationally syndicated talk show.

“Yeah, I would host Dan’s show,” Rucker told SportsNewser on Wednesday from the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. “I co-hosted with him back in the day when he was at the Mothership [ESPN]. Dan and I have been friends for years, so if he asked, I would.”

When asked if Rucker had a favorite “Danette,” he played it safe with his answer, but leaned in the direction of a certain blogger in the back row.

“I like them all for different reasons. They’re all great. They all make me laugh. I guess I don’t have a favorite. But I like McLovin’s new segment. ‘Against The Grain’ is pretty funny. That makes me laugh every time.”
