“Dateline NBC” is hoping to make it 11 weeks in a row as the No. 1 non-sports show in its Friday night timeslot. They’ll try to do it with Kate Snow‘s hour-long report about Amanda Lindhout, a former freelance journalist who, in 2008, was kidnapped and held for 15 months in Somalia. Lindhout talks about a daring — if unsuccessful — escape attempt and what kept her from committing suicide.
“Dateline” airs tonight at 9pmET/8pmCT.
