The National Father’s Day Committee holds its annual luncheon this afternoon at the Sheraton New York. WNBC anchor Jane Hansen will present Father of the Year awards to, among others, Commander of U.S. Central Command Gen. David Petraeus, New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada, and “Meet the Press” moderator David Gregory. Over the last 10 years the National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council has donated nearly $21 million to meaningful charities nationwide. Proceeds from this year’s luncheon will once again benefit Save the Children.
