Diane Sawyer leaves Japan
Diane Sawyer left Japan today as the nuclear situation at the Fukushima Daiichi plant worsens. This morning on “Good Morning America” George Stephanopoulos said, Sawyer, “is on her way back from the quake zone to continue covering the story from New York.” Sawyer arrived in Japan on Sunday. She’s expected back in New York tonight to anchor “World News.”
Christiane Amanpour has also left Japan. ABC’s David Muir, Bill Weir and Clarissa Ward remain for now.
