It appears CNN’s Lou Dobbs is trying to make amends with Howard Dean. Days after calling the one-time presidential candidate a “bloodsucking leftist” who could only be stopped with “a stake through his heart,” Dobbs reached out to Dean and asked him to appear on his radio show. HuffPo’s Sam Stein reports Dean declined the offer.
Dobbs has already sort-of apologized to Dean, but Dobbs’ critics still want him fired. A group called Democracy for America sent out an email calling for CNN and the United Stations Radio Network to fire the host.
“It’s time to get Lou Dobbs and his hate speech off the air,” the letter read. “It’s time for CNN and the United Stations Radio Network to fire Lou Dobbs.”
