ESPN Adding At Least 200 New Jobs In Connecticut

ESPN will add at least 200 jobs in the state of Connecticut over the next five years in exchange for tax breaks, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Tuesday.

It’s all part of the “First Five” program, that is encouraging five businesses to create 1,000 new jobs in the state. ESPN is the third company that has signed up for the program.

According to the Associated Press:

ESPN will get a $17.5 million state loan to build its new Digital Center, plus up to $1.2 million for a job-training grant program. The Connecticut Development Authority may also assist with up to $6 million in tax exemptions on certain equipment and construction materials.”

New jobs in Bristol means new chapters for Jim Miller‘s follow up to Those Guys Have All The Fun.
