ESPN To Air Entire 2011 Scripps National Spelling Bee

You know summer is right around the corner when the Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals are on ESPN.

The network’s coverage begins June 1 on ESPN3.com with the preliminary rounds. ESPN and ESPN3.com will carry the semifinals and finals on June 2. Not that the littles need any added pressure, but every speller on stage will be featured on an ESPN network.

SportsCenter anchor Sage Steele serves as host of the Spelling Bee Finals for the second straight year. Former Spelling Bee finalist Paul A. Loeffler will serve as the word analyst and Rob Stone as reporter.
