Experian Hitwise: O’Reilly Factor Top-Ranked Cable News Show Site Last Week

Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor was the top-ranked cable-news-show website for the week ending April 16, according to Experian Hitwise, with MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show coming in second, and third place going to Fox News’ America’s Newsroom.

The top-ranked late-night talk-show website was Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, followed by network sibling The Colbert Report, with the No. 3 spot going to NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

As usual, the morning news shows finished with NBC’s Today on top, followed by ABC’s Good Morning America, and CBS’ The Early Show.

Broadcast and Cable Report 041611

The top three broadcast-network websites were CBS, Fox, and ABC. Fox’s American Idol led broadcast-show sites, followed by ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and CBS’ Survivor. New additions to the top 25 were ABC’s Happy Endings (to No. 21 from No. 86), NBC’s Law & Order: Los Angeles (22 from 63), ABC’s Brothers and Sisters (23 from 45), and CBS’ Undercover Boss (24 from 42).

On the cable side, Comedy’s South Park was the top-ranked show site, with The Daily Show finishing second, and Lifetime’s Army Wives marching into the No. 3 spot. New additions to the top 25 were MTV’s Real World: Las Vegas (9 from unranked), and USA Network’s WWE Tough Enough (12 from unranked).

When combining broadcast and cable offerings, Idol won the category, followed by Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and Cartoon Network’s Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. Joining the top 25 were CBS’ CSI: Miami (23 from 34), and Colbert Report (24 from 40).
