Florida Called Immediately…For Clinton

As the final polls closed in Florida at 8pmET, all three networks called the fairly inconsequential Democratic primary for Sen. Hillary Clinton. But the GOP primary? All networks are reporting the race for first is too close to call between Sen. John McCain and Mitt Romney. On NBC, Tom Brokaw and Tim Russert joked about the possible similarity between the Florida GOP primary and Florida’s impact during the 2000 presidential election. “Please, please. my worst nightmare. Do I have to go through this again?” joked Brokaw. On FNC, Bill Hemmer mentioned the lengthy night it may be for the GOP primary to be called. Brit Hume jokingly said in response, “Will you stop talking about that, Bill? I was up to 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning. We don’t want to go there again.”
