Roger Ailes “recently considered retiring,” Howard Kurtz reveals in today’s WP. But he “rejected the idea because, well, there are too many things that still tick him off.”

After 10 years at the helm of Fox, “Ailes believes he has helped discredit the notion that conservatism is ‘a freak point of view’ in the media.” He says: “We have forced a dialogue into the news business that didn’t exist before we got here.”
