FNC Won’t Run Guantanamo Ad

Fox News Channel has turned down running an advertisement which depicts the shredding of the U.S. Constitution. According to The Swamp‘s James Oliphant, Media Matters for America is behind asked FNC why they would not run the ad which is timed to coincide with tomorrow’s arguments at the Supreme Court of a Guantanamo Bay detainee abuse case.

In the spot, actor Danny Glover says, “The Bush administration is destroying the Constitution. They can be stopped. Rescue the Constitution.”

The ad was paid for by the Center for Constitutional Rights which is arguing the high court case. Oliphant reports the ad “is scheduled to run on MSNBC and CNN.”
