FNC's Bill O'Reilly, in Halloween get-up, on ABC's "The View" this morning.

This is one for the ages. Bill O'Reilly, dressed as a vampire, joined the ladies of "The View" this morning to talk about the feud with the White House, the cable news landscape, and his book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity.

On the White House battle, O'Reilly said, "I don't have a point of view, I'm basically an independent guy," adding, "I sent Barack Obama, President Obama a fruit basket for all that comments because our ratings are up 20% since he made it. We want him to not like us. Although I like him. I mean, I like the guy. But we want him to keep saying bad things about us."

Wearing a Countess Chocula cereal box on her head, Elizabeth Hasselbeck asked, "Don't you find it a little scary that there would be this sort of boycott?"

"There's no boycott," said O'reilly. "There's two commentators on FOX that really don't like Barack Obama: Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. But the rest of us, Greta, Shepard Smith, Bret Baier myself, we're willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. But it's so dumb to do this."

On CNN's ratings, O'Reilly says, "The reason CNN's numbers are going down is the pizazz factor. They don't have any pizazz." Sitting to this left, Joy Behar talked about her own HLN show. "It's not news, it's my opinion."

"More power to you. I'm glad you have a show," said O'Reilly.

O'Reilly once again applauded CNN's Campbell Brown for her interview with White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. "There was a great moment last night on CNN," said O'Reilly, adding, "Nobody saw it, unfortunately, nobody watches it."

As for the vampire get-up, O'Reilly joked he often dresses like that at home. "I hang from the ceiling. I'm the scariest guy in the world. When kids come trick or treating to my house, I open the door, they go ahhh!"
