Santa replied that he was indeed a Republican, and then pointed to some decorations on his chest, which he said indicated 'courage.' I'm sure Santa wasn't implying that Democrats aren't courageous. And he was probably just being polite to the Foxies. Santa was likely surprised to be drawn into a partisan discussion. (I was afraid that perhaps somebody was going to suggest not delivering presents to the children of Democrats!)
