FNC’s Jay Wallace Part of “Next Wave of Leaders”
Fox News Channel VP of news editorial Jay Wallace was named to the 2009 “Next Wave of Leaders” list by Broadcasting & Cable.
Wallace paid his dues, first at News 12 and through the ranks of Fox News — from the overnight desk, to bureau chief, to EP of FOX Report to his current executive role. “Now I go out in the field and the truck guys and engineers, they want to vent,” he says. “I think people identify with the fact that I’ve done these jobs.”
He also described one reason for FNC’s ratings dominance post-election. “Time after time, when we get a ratings spike with a huge story, a chunk of those first-time viewers never leave the tent,” says Wallace.
