Fox News Sunday’s Best Ever*

Meet the Press is poised to finished first both nationally and in the nation’s capital last Sunday. Fox News Sunday, meanwhile, scored its best ratings ever in Washington, DC last weekend (*with the exception of a 3.7 rating during a two-hour show the Sunday after 9/11/01).

Fox News Sunday had a 3.5 rating in DC beating CBS’ Face the Nation and ABC’s This Week. Pres.-elect Obama’s transition co-chair John Podesta was a guest. The Total Viewer averages are below.

Meanwhile, Face the Nation was up 43% in Total Viewers and up 60% in the A25-54 demo year-over-year. Obama’s chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was a guest. This Week had its highest Total Viewership in seven years. The George Stephanopoulos-moderated show was #1 in 9 of the top 10 markets according to preliminary numbers.
