Friday Night Lights Coming To ESPN

The NBC/DirecTV football drama Friday Night Lights is headed to ESPN starting Tuesday night.

The first two episodes from the first season will air Tuesday on ESPN at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET.

ESPN Classic will become the home of Friday Night Lights starting with a Season 1 marathon on July 14 and 15. Starting on July 21, the show will air on ESPN Classic every Thursday night at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.

“We were attracted to it because the quality of the show is so strong and it has such a passionate and loyal following,” Connor Schell, vice president and executive producer, ESPN Films and ESPN Classic, told TheWrap.com. “It’s just incredible long form storytelling in and around sports.”
