Friday Night Smackdown Moves To Syfy On Friday
Friday Night Smackdown makes its Syfy debut Friday night in a special live two-hour broadcast.
The World Wrestling Entertainment show heads into their 12th season and the first year on a cable network. Friday Night Smackdown spent the last two years on MyNetworkTV.
With the addition of Smackdown, Syfy said goodbye to WWE NXT, which aired its final episode on Tuesday.
WWE NXT, which WWE Chairman Vince McMahon described as “the next evolution of WWE; the next evolution of television history,” pairs developmental wrestlers with established superstars. It replaced ECW, which aired its final episode on Feb. 16.
WWE NXT can be found exclusively on WWE.com starting next Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST.
