Game 2 Of World Series Draws 14.1 Million Viewers
More than 14 million viewers watched Game 2 of the 2010 World Series, earning a 8.5/14 household rating/share.
It was the second consecutive night that Fox won the primetime ratings and the network’s highest-rated and most-watched Thursday night since Game 2 of last year’s World Series between New York and Philadelphia.
Compared to last year’s Game 2 of the World Series, ratings are down 27 percent (11.7.19) and 25 percent in viewership (18.9 million). However, the numbers are up 11 percent in average audience (12.8 million viewers) and rating (8.1) compared to the 2008 World Series, which was the lowest rated in Major League Baseball history.
Locally, San Francisco led major markets with a 36.4/62 rating/share and Dallas-Fort Worth earned a 30.9/47.
