Game 2 Stanley Cup Final Ratings Take A Slide
Overnight ratings for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final between Vancouver and Boston took a slide, drawing just 3.37 million viewers.
That’s down 27 percent from Game 1 (4.56 million viewers) and 43 percent from last year’s Game 2 (5.91 million viewers) between Philadelphia and Chicago.
It was the least-watched Stanley Cup Final broadcast on network television since Game 5 of the 2007 Stanley Cup Final between Anaheim and Ottawa, which drew 2.87 million viewers.
Through two the first two games on NBC, the 2011 Stanley Cup Final has averaged 3.96 million viewers, down 23 percent from 5.12 million viewers through two games last year.
