"I think it is SO ridiculous how big a story 'holiday travel' has become on local and cable news. First of all, it's incredibly cliche -- the scripts write themselves. And then, when we finally do hear from passengers 'on the busiest travel day of the year,' few report any actual problems or irregularities. If I hear one more 'smooth sailing' bite from someone who's 'had no problems at the checkpoints,' I swear, I'm going to puke. 'Smooth sailing' equals NO NEWS.

I've even heard and seen FREELANCERS brought in today to cover this, like it's some major, unexpected event!"
