The Telegraph (of England) compiled its list of the 50 most influential U.S. political pundits this week, in a five-part 10-pundit-a-day reveal (oh, the suspense!). Claiming first place — FNC's newest commentator, Karl Rove. "Rove's take is important and often surprising. Expect the name Rove to come up frequently on the campaign trail — and in coverage of it," writes the Telegraph.

In second place comes MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews: "With his infectious enthusiasm for politics, Matthews has pushed back hard against what he sees as the cynicism of Hillary Clinton's campaign."

To round out the eclectic top 10: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, John Harris and Jim VandeHei, Matt Drudge, Tim Russert, Jon Stewart, David Brooks and Mark Halperin.
