Governator First Guest on Brokaw-Led MTP

First on TVNewser: The first guest on the Tom Brokaw-moderated Meet the Press will be California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the program will broadcast live be pre-recorded Saturday night from Jackson Hole, Wyoming — the site of the Western Governors’ Association annual meeting. The meeting begins on Sunday.

Other western governors will guest on the program as well — Democrats Dave Freudenthal (of Wyoming) and Bill Ritter, Jr. (of Colorado).

The site of the meeting, and the broadcast, will allow Brokaw a short commute from his Montana cabin office where he’s preparing for the show.

Update: Aaron McLear, Gov. Schwarzenegger’s press secretary, tells TVNewser, “Governor Schwarzenegger is taping ‘Meet the Press’ tonight in Simi Valley, CA. He is not going to Wyoming.”
