Gregory: “I Have No Doubts That The Press Is Going To Do Its Job”

gregory_1-16.bmpAfter last week’s appearance on The Daily Show, Meet the Press anchor David Gregory completed the Comedy Central circuit with a guest spot on The Colbert Report last night.

Last night’s appearance was focused more on his former job, however, as White House correspondent. “I think that people view our job through their own ideological prism, and they’ve made some judgments along those lines,” said Gregory.

“Shouldn’t the supposed crimes of the Bush administration be paid for by Barack Obama?” asked Colbert regarding the pending press coverage of the incoming administration.

Gregory: “I have no doubts that the press is going to do its job with Barack Obama.”
