HBO Sets Return Date for 'Eastbound and Down'

Time to set your DVRs. HBO has announced that season two of the Will Ferrell/Adam McKay-produced baseball comedy “Eastbound & Down” will debut Sunday, September 26 at 10:30 PM.

The network has ordered seven episodes for seson two, with new editions set to run in that time period over the following six Sundays.

“Eastbound & Down” stars Danny McBride as “Kenny Powers,” a former star pitcher turned self destructive high school physical education teacher. Season two begins with Powers in Mexico, plotting his major league comeback. Based on the plot summary, it looks like HBO is reworking the supporting cast, adding a pair of “sidekicks” to Powers.
