Headline Prime: Tuesday Night #’s

On Tuesday, Nancy Grace’s Headline News show earned a 0.4 and 388,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data. Showbiz Tonight only scored a 0.1 and 124,000 HH, while Prime News Tonight averaged a 0.3 and 235,000 HH. (MSNBC beat Headline News in primetime.)

Grace’s numbers are impressive for Headline News (even though they’re miniscule next to Fox News). Grace beat MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann (388,000 to 310,000 viewers), though Olbermann had a slight edge in the 25-54 demo. “It’s a clear cut battle for third place at this point,” an insider said, “although it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Nancy Grace is being groomed to replace Paula Zahn.”
