Hoffman Wants “Intellectual Combat”

“We are really making history here,” CNBC prez Mark Hoffman says of the simultaneous broadcast on three continents.

Going forward, the network’s aim is “to add more real-time analysis to the mere numbers and breaking news,” Raymond Snoddy writes. Quoting Hoffman: “It’s really about creating intellectual combat on the air, debates over the big issues of the day as opposed to getting one person’s opinion.”
