Hume Reflects on Special Exit

As we reported yesterday, tonight’s Special Report will be Brit Hume‘s final program as anchor.

This afternoon, Hume appeared on Happening Now with Jon Scott and Jamie Colby to discuss his exit. “I’m stepping aside to become Fox News senior political analyst,” said Hume. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do — to have my role be based on basically commentary and analysis. I hope I bring something to that from years of reporting in Washington.”

Said Scott: “We have admired your leadership, we thank you for that. We look forward to seeing you more in that new role. We hope you get to relax a little bit too.”
